It’s not enough to intellectualise feelings, you must embody them.
You must Feel to truly Heal.
You can talk about love, but to feel love, to be love, that’s another ball game.
We can talk about enlightenment and spirituality all night long, but they are not something we do to tick the boxes, it’s a state of being.
We live in a world of so much disconnection and numbness. We feel lost, confused, depressed, living life like zombies...
When I look at my daughter and the world through her eyes, she is constantly embodying her feelings, emotions and life force. Moment to moment.
She doesn’t sit there and conceptualise “happiness, fun, excitement, frustration, anger...”, she feels them all.
That’s is something I witness often and greatly admire about her. She lives in a constant state of Being and there is something magical about that.
Children are our teachers!
They teach us about the unlearning, the unbecoming ... so that we can come back to our true essence when we first came to this earth.
She constantly teaches me about being more in the moment, feeling more, laughing more, and at times allowing emotions like anger, frustration and sadness to come up.
Gandhi once said: “Be the change you seek in the world”
I realised that when I give myself permission to feel more and be more, I also grant others permission to just Be who they are. We can’t possibly accept and love others fully if we haven’t yet done that for ourselves.
So No I don’t need a big red cape to change the world, I change the world by Being exactly who I was born to be.
Embodiment for me is letting go of the person you Think you ‘should’ be and Become everything you already are ❤️
And this is what the world needs more right now!
